Megève, in the French Alps, has many advantages: easily accessible – one hour by car from Geneva airport; old village with charming streets; fun, family skiing in extensive ski area; countless luxury chalet rentals both in the centre and in the upper part of the village (learn more about Megève). Among the most popular chalet rentals, there are several gems that, in addition to their bespoke services, relaxation area, pool and spa, impressive master bedroom and immaculate interior decoration, are ideally positioned to enable ski-in/ski-out. The slopes of the “Évasion Mont Blanc” ski area are within easy reach and the extensive snowfields of the wooded hills and surrounding peaks are an invitation to ski touring.
Ski-in/Ski-out Chalets in Mont d’Arbois
Megève is at the centre of a ski area which, for the most part, extends over three massifs. Some of the resort’s most exclusive chalets are found in the many hamlets. Mont d’Arbois, at the foot of the summit of the same name, was developed in the 1920s under the impetus of the Rothschild family and has since remained the true epicentre of chic in Megève. There are outstanding chalet rentals in the heart of a quiet hamlet overlooking the village and home to the Four Seasons Hotel. Some of them are ski-in and ski-out like Chalet Sun Arbois, one of the most luxurious holiday residences of the resort, with its huge master bedroom, pool and spa area and decor comprising marble, wood, chrome, glass and precious fabrics. Located between the Mont d’Arbois and the centre of Megève, the village is directly accessible on skis. In the same area, Chalet des Sens and Chalet Divinity, which are interconnected and can be rented together, enable up to 24 people to sleep in their eleven rooms: ideal for large families who enjoy skiing holidays. It is located a few metres from the Mandarines ski run and can be reached from the chalets by a small path accessible to skiers of all levels. Not far from there, Chalet les Pistes d’Arbois is close to the Rocharbois cable car, which connects the Rochebrune and Mont d’Arbois mountains. An ideal location that enables quick access to the areas of Alpette, Côte 2000, Mont d’Arbois, Mont Joux or Princesse since it is in the heart of the ski area. Last, but not least, Chalet Red Rock. Situated on the edge of a path leading to Mandarines piste, this Megève chalet rental, with a surface area of 530m2, looks like an authentic alpine farm. Just a few minutes from the village centre, facing Mont-Blanc and located alongside the panoramic “7 nains” piste: Chalet Mont-Blanc combines all these advantages and many more. The Rochebrune district is the main access route for the Alpette, Petite Fontaine and Côte 2000 sectors of the “Evasion Mont Blanc” ski area and is adjacent to a vast snow front. There are, among others, Chalet Côz and Chalet Hirvi: two great addresses for a ski-in/ski-out chalet rental in Megève. Chalet Côz is in addition one of the few chalets in Megève to be positioned directly on the slopes.

A good hour’s drive from Megève, the Tarentaise Valley (Savoie, France) is undoubtedly a world-class ski destination. Here, the high mountain resorts and the many peaks of more than 3,000m above sea level guarantee superb snow throughout the winter. The quality of the infrastructure, the large number of five-star hotels or palaces, the diversity of the “après-ski” and the many luxury chalet rentals attract skiers from all over the world to Val d’Isère and Courchevel 1850.
