Nestled in a sought-after area of Méribel, just a hundred metres from the Doron piste, within the legendary Trois Vallées ski area, and less than a 5-minute drive from the resort centre, Chalet Alpaca is a truly exceptional property. Completed in 2017 and spanning 930 sqm across 4 levels, it ranks among the most coveted chalets in the area. Recognised on the global stage, it was honored World’s Best New Chalet at the prestigious World Ski Awards the very year it opened. Designed around a masterful blend of natural materials and bespoke furnishings, its interiors are spacious and light-filled, thanks to expansive glass walls framing beautiful views of the surrounding peaks.
The chalet sleeps 12 guests across six beautifully appointed bedrooms, each with a private bathroom and balcony. Three are double rooms (two of which can also be configured as twins) and are located on the second floor, while the first floor houses a children’s bunk room and a double or twin room forming a private family suite. The master bedroom, meanwhile, occupies the top floor. Generously proportioned, it features a wood-burning stove, a dressing room, a bathroom with copper bathtub and walk-in shower, and a panoramic balcony.
The main living space, on the second floor, showcases soaring ceilings and vast bay windows opening onto a sun-drenched terrace, complete with a heated swimming pool, a built-in copper Jacuzzi and a fire pit in the adjoining garden. It comprises a snug sitting area, a central stone fireplace, a bar and a dining area. Alongside, a spacious enclosed kitchen with central island allows the chef to work seamlessly. A second living room with fireplace and sofas is available on the top floor, offering a quieter, more intimate space to unwind.
For entertainment and wellness, guests can enjoy a host of remarkable spaces: a large games room with pool table, pinball machine and bar, leading through to a cinema room for fun-filled, lively evenings; a spa with hammam, sauna, shower and massage room for deep, soothing relaxation; a small gym fitted with, among other equipment, a treadmill and a cardio bike to keep up with your routine; and a room with a climbing wall offering a variety of routes for both experienced climbers and beginners (a rare amenity in a chalet). Discreet on-site staff accommodation ensures flawless service, while a garage provides covered parking for 3 cars.
